Welcome
Dry Grove is a private family property consisting of mostly wooded land, a cabin, a barn, and a small lake. It is held for the use of family, children, grandchildren, and approved friends by request. Please treat the property with care so it remains a peaceful place for everyone.
Access & Gate
The main gate is secured with a chain and two padlocks in series (one for utility access and one combination lock for visitors). Close and re-lock the gate whenever you leave the property, even for short trips. Do not share the combination with others without prior approval.
Cabin & Facilities
- Cabin — water and electricity available.
- Barn — electricity only (no water).
Please report any problems with plumbing, electrical, or other systems promptly.
House Rules
- No dogs or other pets indoors. Pets are not permitted inside the cabin.
- No smoking indoors. Smoke only outdoors and dispose of butts properly.
- Bring your own linens. Guests supply their own sheets, towels, pillows, and bedding.
- Equipment use by permission only. Do not use tools, vehicles, boats, or other equipment without explicit prior permission.
- Keep noise reasonable, especially in the evenings. This is a quiet, rural setting.
- Do not cut live trees or alter the landscape without permission.
- Fires only in designated areas and only when conditions are safe. Fully extinguish before leaving.
Checkout Expectations
Before you leave, please complete the checkout steps so the cabin is ready for the next guests. A printable checklist is available below.
- Remove all personal items, food, and trash.
- Wipe down kitchen surfaces and clean any dishes used.
- Sweep floors and tidy the main living areas.
- Empty trash and take it with you or place it in the designated outdoor location if available.
- Leave the dehumidifier running (continuous drain mode preferred if available).
- Turn off lights and unnecessary appliances; leave the property secure.
- Re-lock the gate with both padlocks.
